Two days of driving the best lanes in the Lake District. Starting at Tebay North Services, we will head over the tops towards Kentmere by way of lanes such as Brest High Road. The climb will test your driving ability and the capability of your vehicle but be assured we will be with you every inch of the way, walking alongside you if necessary. At other times we will be giving instruction and directions by 2-way radio.
Sunday starts in the South Lakes, because that is where we will be staying Saturday night. After a morning of driving more lanes we will have lunch at a local pub on the way to Windermere, where, subject to it sailing, we will take the ferry across Windermere to more exciting lanes. If the ferry is not sailing, we will drive the picturesque route around the lake.
Sunday afternoon, after driving the final lanes in the Lake District, we will head over the steepest passes in the UK to the West coast where our tour will end.
This tour is not for soft roaders. You will need a well-prepared 4×4 vehicle with at least all-terrain tyres, a full-size spare, low box and good ground clearance. If in doubt, please contact us.
You do not need to carry recovery equipment because we carry everything that may possibly be needed in our lead vehicle. In fact, if you do need to be recovered, we will insist that our tested and approved recovery equipment is used for the sake of your safety and ours.
