This GPX route will take you from Water Yeat to Tebay via Parkamore, Grizedale Forest, Arnside, Fell Foot, Ambleside, Windermere, Stile End and Breast High Road. At 62 miles across some of the most challenging terrain in the UK, it’s a full-day and requires a well-prepared 4×4. Start early in case you have any problems, so that you are able to complete the full route. The views above Coniston from Parkamore are well worth a photo or two. You will negotiate very narrow lanes (a spotter is required) and steep inclines and descents as you traverse Breast High Road.
