The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998 covers the use of 4×4 vehicles in the workplace. Whether you use a 4×4 vehicle provided by your employer or by yourself, it is a requirement that you have received certified training in the safe use of that equipment.
- 1 Day RoSPA Off-Road Driving Course
The one day course is suitable for persons who drive a 4×4 in their work duties. Maximum 4 persons.
- 2 Day RoSPA Advanced Off-Road Driving Course
The two day advanced driving course is suitable for persons who drive a 4×4 extensively in their work duties and need an additional level of tuition. Maximum 4 persons.
- 1 Day Winching Course
Winching can potentially be the most dangerous activity you will need to perform. This course will teach you how to do it safely and efficiently to avoid damage to your vehicle and person. Maximum 4 persons.
- Self Recovery
The hands-on self-recovery course will teach you how to self-recover using various types of equipment that you may have with you including winch, hi-lift jack, standard straps, kinetic straps, snatch blocks and your vehicles 4×4 system (traction control, low box, diff lock(s) and terrain response).
- ATV/Side by Side Driving Course
1 day off-road RoSPA driving course for those that use ATV side by side vehicle in their work duties. 4 persons maximum.
All the above courses will be tailored to your particular use of 4×4 vehicles in the workplace to ensure you receive the necessary training as required by the PUWER regulations. On satisfactory completion of a course, you will receive the appropriate certification.
