TOUR PREPARATION

UK Tours

  • It is always sound advice to have your vehicle serviced or at least given a thorough health check before joining one of our tours.
  • Unless otherwise stated, your vehicle must have at least low box and good all-terrain tyres.
  • All drivers must hold a valid full UK driving licence or the equivalent in their country of residence if joining us from outside of the United Kingdom.
  • All vehicles must be road legal, including having a current MOT (if required) and be taxed and insured.
  • You do not need to carry recovery equipment; our lead vehicles carry all the necessary equipment and we will insist you use our equipment in the event recovery is needed (for the purposes of clarification: recovery means to get your vehicle back on to the track or to the nearest highway).
  • Breakdown and recovery insurance is essential. In the event you experience a breakdown we will endeavor to get you, your passengers and your vehicle to the highway and within mobile phone coverage but once at that point we expect you to make the necessary arrangements to get your vehicle home or to a repair centre.

Overseas Tours

  • It is strongly advised that before joining one of our overseas tours you have your vehicle serviced and any defects rectified.
  • Unless otherwise stated, your vehicle must have at least low box and good all-terrain tyres and a second full-size spare wheel is recommended.
  • In very hot countries like Morocco, a fridge is recommended.
  • All drivers must hold a valid full UK driving licence or the equivalent in their country of residence if joining us from outside of the United Kingdom.
  • An international driving licence should be acquired. Traveling to Morocco requires 1949 IDP Spain & 1968 IDP France. Please contact us for more information.
  • You do not need to carry recovery equipment; our lead vehicles carry all the necessary equipment and we will insist you use our equipment in the event recovery is needed.
  • We are knowledgeable of the areas in which we travel and will recommend an appropriate repair/recovery centre in the event of a breakdown. You will not be left stranded in a foreign country even if your vehicle cannot be repaired.
  • It is essential that you have appropriate holiday and medical insurance to include repatriation. Make sure you obtain card insurance document from your insurance company.
